The project Working Together for Inclusion in Modern Languages ran in two Aberdeenshire schools during session 2005 - 06. This follow-up page reports on the project and gives news of what happened subsequently. Some of the materials below were created in the course of earlier projects that supported professional collaboration.

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT? With encouragement and help from Scottish CILT a DIY version of the project was created. It drew upon the experiences of all eight of the schools that had taken part in Working Together in-school projects over the years and of several one-day collaborative (ML/SfL) workshops. The new project was called Maximising Potential: A resource for teachers to support inclusion in modern languages. It takes the form of a toolkit which prompts ML departments to reflect on their current practice and suggests starting points for further development. It was piloted in three City of Edinburgh schools in session 2006-7; feedback from them has helped to refine the Maximising Potential programme which which is now available to other interested schools as part of the Modern Foreign Languages Environment (MFLE) site. You can read more about the pilot phase of ths project here.
